The Tapa a Tapa {city} {year} route runs from 24 April to 10 May 2026. During these days, participating restaurants offer their special tapa at a fixed price.

How much does each tapa cost?

Each tapa costs 4.00€. This is a fixed price across all participating restaurants, including a beer (quinto or caña) by Estrella Damm.

How many restaurants take part?

In 2026, 40 restaurants participate in the Sitges Tapas Route. Each one creates an exclusive tapa for the event.

How does the Sitges Tapas Route work?

It's simple: visit participating restaurants during the event and ask for their special tapa. No booking or ticket needed. Just show up, order the route tapa and enjoy. You can do as many tapas as you like in any order.

Where is Sitges?

Sitges is a coastal town in the province of Barcelona, Catalonia (Spain). It's about 35 km south of Barcelona and reachable by train (Rodalies R2 Sud, ~40 minutes) or by car via the C-32 motorway.

Can you do the whole route in one day?

Technically yes, but doing all 40 tapas in a single day is not recommended. Most visitors spread it over 2–3 days to enjoy it at a leisurely pace, often combining it with a walk through the old town, the beach and other Sitges attractions.

Is there a vote or prize for the best tapa?

Yes. You can vote for your favourite tapa by scanning the QR code in the official booklet and registering on the event website. A technical jury from the Sitges School of Hospitality also evaluates the gastronomic proposals. The winner is announced at the end of the event. Voting enters you into a draw for tickets to Vida Festival 2026 (2–6 July, Vilanova i la Geltrú), sponsored by Estrella Damm.

Which tapas are in the 2026 Sitges Route?

There are 40 unique tapas in 2026. Some highlights include: "Bombó de sobrassada" at Casa Marc, "Brisa brava" at Vento, "Chulapo" at La Barata, and many more. See the full list in our tapas section.

Do I need to book a table?

No booking is needed to order the route tapa. However, if you want to sit down for a full meal at any restaurant, booking in advance is recommended, especially on weekends.

Are restaurants open every day of the event?

Most restaurants participate every day of the event, but each venue sets its own opening hours. Check our app or the official Ajuntament de Sitges booklet for specific hours per restaurant.

How much does the full route cost?

If you do all 40 tapas, the total cost is 160.00€ ({count} tapas × 4.00€). Most visitors don't do the full route in one event — it's common to come for a weekend, do 8–10 tapas per day and spread it over 2–3 days.

How do you vote for the best tapa?

Visitors can vote for their favourite tapa as a popular jury. A technical jury from the Sitges School of Hospitality also evaluates the gastronomic proposals. The winner is announced at the end of the event.

Where to park in Sitges during the route?

Sitges has several public car parks. The most recommended option is to come by train (Rodalies R2 Sud from Barcelona, ~40 minutes) to avoid parking difficulties, especially on weekends. If you drive, La Plana car park and the seafront promenade car park are popular options.

Is the drink included in the tapa price?

Yes, in the 2026 edition the 4.00€ price includes the creative tapa plus a quinto or caña of Estrella Damm. If you prefer a Free Damm Tostada (alcohol-free), you can ask for it for just +€0.20 extra.

Can you do the route with children?

Yes, the Sitges Tapas Route is suitable for the whole family. As the tapas are individual and no booking is required, it's easy to adapt to children's pace. Many participating restaurants are located in pedestrian areas that are comfortable for walking with kids.

Which edition is Tapa a Tapa 2026?

The {city} {year} Tapas Route is the 15th edition of the event. This edition also coincides with the 150th anniversary of Estrella Damm, giving it a special character.

Is there a tapas route in Sitges at other times of year?

What else to see and do in Sitges besides the tapas route?

Sitges has much more to offer: the medieval old town, the Church of Sant Bartomeu i Santa Tecla ("la Punta"), the Cau Ferrat Museum, the seafront promenade beaches, and the cosmopolitan atmosphere of the town. Combining the route with a walk through the historic centre and the beach is the perfect plan for a weekend.
