When is the best time to visit Sitges?
Sitges enjoys over 300 sunny days a year. For the beach, June to September. For tapas and Carnival, spring (April-May) and winter (February). The climate is pleasant all year round thanks to the Mediterranean microclimate.
How to get to Sitges from Barcelona?
By Rodalies R2 Sud train from Barcelona Sants or Passeig de Gràcia (40 min, every 20-30 min, ~4€). By car via the C-32 motorway (35 min). There are also direct buses from Barcelona-El Prat Airport.
How many days do you need to see Sitges?
A long weekend (3 days) is ideal for enjoying the beaches, historic centre, gastronomy and nightlife. If your visit coincides with the Tapa a Tapa Route or Carnival, it is worth adding an extra day.
Are there nudist beaches in Sitges?
Yes. The best known is Platja dels Balmins, near the maritime cemetery. Also Platja de les Coves Blanques and the area between Aiguadolç and the port. Sitges is one of the most tolerant and open destinations on the Costa Dorada.
