About us
Tapa a Tapa Sitges is an independent editorial project that gathers, organises and keeps up to date all the practical information about the Sitges Tapas Route in one place. We are not the event organisers: we are a small editorial team that compiles the official data and combines it with public, verifiable sources so that visitors can follow the route easily and reliably.
Who we are
We are the editorial team behind Tapa a Tapa Sitges. Our job is to curate the information about the route — the participating restaurants, their tapas, addresses, opening hours and prices — and present it clearly in five languages. We are independent from the official organisers and have no commercial relationship with the participating venues; our only goal is to make the route easy to follow for everyone visiting Sitges.
How we put this guide together
Each tapa and restaurant listing is built from the official Tapa a Tapa Sitges booklet (the librillo oficial), which is our primary source for tapa names, descriptions, participating venues and the official price. We enrich those listings with public data from the Google Places API — ratings and recent reviews — so you can see what other diners think, and we verify every restaurant's location with GPS-checked coordinates against Google Maps. All of this is reviewed and refreshed for each edition of the route. We do not publish first-hand personal tastings: any opinions you read come from the cited public reviews, not from us. If something looks out of date, the booklet always takes precedence and we welcome corrections.
