Where to Stay for the Sitges Film Festival 2026

The 59th Sitges Film Festival runs 8 to 18 October 2026, and the town fills with visitors for eleven days. If you still don't have a room, this guide helps you find one without overpaying.

Why rooms are hard to find

Sitges is small and the festival packs in screenings, premieres and parallel events, like Saturday 10 October's Zombie Walk. Central rooms sell out early and prices rise, especially on festival weekends. The sooner you book, the more choice you have.

Option 1: book in Sitges

The most convenient: you walk to the venues (Auditori Melià, Sala Tramuntana, Cinema Prado, Escorxador). Check exact dates on Booking.com for the whole festival or for the 9–11 October weekend. Filter for free cancellation so you can adjust if the programme changes.

Option 2: Vilanova i la Geltrú

Option 3: Barcelona

The R2 Sud from Barcelona-Sants reaches Sitges in about 40 minutes. It has the widest choice and prices: see accommodation in Barcelona. We only recommend it if you're attending a few sessions, as the late return gets long.

Getting there
