Sitges in July: beaches, events & guide 2026
July in Sitges: 29°C, sea at 25°C, Gay Pride and concerts at Jardins de Terramar. Complete guide to events, beaches and where to stay.
July is the most vibrant month in Sitges. With average highs of 29°C, a sea temperature of 25°C and a packed events calendar — from Gay Pride to open-air concerts at the Jardins de Terramar — the town reaches its summer peak without August's overcrowding.
Why July is special in Sitges
July combines the Mediterranean temperature peak with a more lively cultural programme than June and a slightly less saturated atmosphere than August. All 17 beaches are in full swing, beach bars stay open late and the Passeig de la Ribera becomes the social heart of the Costa Daurada. The LGBTQ+ scene peaks with Gay Pride, one of Spain's most important, transforming Sitges into a festival of colour and diversity for the first days of July.
Best beaches in Sitges in July
With 17 km of coastline and 26 beaches, Sitges offers something different for every type of visitor:
- Playa de la Ribera: the most central, right on the seafront promenade. Great for families, with blue flag status, lifeguards and sunbed rental (€10-12/day). The most lively, with direct access to bars and restaurants.
- Playa de l'Home Mort: Catalonia's most famous nudist cove, south of the centre. Crystal-clear water, peaceful atmosphere.
- Playa de la Balmins: mixed nudist-textile between rocks, with the charm of natural coves.
- Terramar beaches (Aiguadolç, Les Anquines): ideal if you want space and calm away from the tourist centre.
The sea reaches its warmest temperature of the year in July: 24-25°C, perfect for paddleboarding, kayaking or swimming. Underwater visibility in the southern coves is excellent for snorkelling.
